It took me 100 pages for me to really get into this book The only reason I kept reading was because it was an easy book to read and I needed to add another book to my year s goal list It shouldn t have taken me 100 pages to get to the good parts I was also very confused time line wise in the first 100 pages as to what was going on when By the end I sort of understood but I didn t like having to wait until the very end to understand it all Over all though I liked the dark topic of the novel but I felt the blurb on the back didn t do such a great job explaining that this would be a real life dark theme I was imagining something a little fantas like especially with the mentioning of a ghost in the beginning of the novel It had a great premise but I thought it could have been carried out a little better Of course I m also reading this from a writer s perspective and I ve got a cold so how much those two things affect my reading of it I m not sure Maybe others liked it better than I did Who knows Planted Forests pages for me to really get into this book The only reason I kept reading was because it was an easy book to read and I needed to add another book to my year s goal list It shouldn t have taken me 100 No Turning Back Suspense Series #3 pages to get to the good Ab Urbe Condita Libri parts I was also very confused time line wise in the first 100 A Mansion in the Sky and Other Short Stories (CMES Modern Middle East Literature in Translation Series) pages as to what was going on when By the end I sort of understood but I didn t like having to wait until the very end to understand it all Over all though I liked the dark topic of the novel but I felt the blurb on the back didn t do such a great job explaining that this would be a real life dark theme I was imagining something a little fantas like especially with the mentioning of a ghost in the beginning of the novel It had a great Anthony Blunt His Lives premise but I thought it could have been carried out a little better Of course I m also reading this from a writer s When the Dancing Stopped The Real Story of the Morro Castle Disaster and Its Deadly Wake perspective and I ve got a cold so how much those two things affect my reading of it I m not sure Maybe others liked it better than I did Who knows
